#15 – Amazonian Giant Centipede
Centipedes are extremely, so how do you feel about a giant one? Scolopendra gigantea, aka the Amazonian giant centipede, can grow up to 12 inches in length (30 centimeters).
They can be found in South America, mostly the northern parts. It is a carnivore and will basically eat anything that it can capture and kill. While catching insects is common, it can also eat frogs, bats, snakes, small lizards, mice, and birds.
There is also a documented case in Venezuela where a four-year old child died due to this centipede’s venom.
