#9 – Fangtooth Fish
When gazed upon up close, its fangs are the scariest feature of this fish. In reality though, fangtooths are pretty small and not a real threat to humans.
The bigger, common fangtooth (Anoplogaster cornuta) can grow up to 6.3 inches in length while the smaller, shorthorn fangtooth grows to only half that size. Relative to its body size, the fangtooth has the largest teeth of any fish in the ocean, in fact, they’re so big they can never close their mouths.
